New Publication in HardwareX

We are very proud to announce our latest publication in HardwareX that you can find here:

It is open access, of course, and another result of our running BMBF project on a toolkit for agile prototyping in photonics. The paper gives all details about the invention of a 3D printable breadboard with honeycomb structure. There are plenty of minor ideas that were brought together, such as the combination of two materials with different sound velocities, eccentric tappets or the use of nut profiles to fix photonic components. The breadboards are for professional use and can be implemented in industrial environment!

We here proudly announce the 6th OPEN PHOTONIK PRO Hub that will take place from the 12th to 14th of march 2021. We are in the middle of re-opening our town centres and all shops need to find solutions for handling the hygiene and distance rules – that even may change on a daily basis. The goal is to create …… Do-it-Yourself Tools that support our reclained shopping experience to a large extend.

Öffentliches Statusmeeting Open Photonik Pro

Am 4. Und 5. Februar 2021 treffen sich die Projekte der Fördermaßnahme „Open Photonik Pro“ virtuell zum öffentlichen Statusmeeting.

Mit der Fördermaßnahme „Open Photonik Pro“ ermöglicht das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) neue Formen der Zusammenarbeit von Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft mit der Maker- und Gründerszene. Zusätzliche Innovationspfade und -potenziale sollen erschlossen, Innovationszyklen deutlich verkürzt und die Vernetzung dieser Gruppen nachhaltig verbessert werden.

Ein wichtiger Baustein dafür ist die Vernetzung der geförderten Projekte untereinander – zum Kennenlernen und als Keimzelle möglicher Kooperationen. Da inzwischen fast alle der in dieser Initiative geförderten Projekte mit ihren Arbeiten begonnen haben, laden wir Sie herzlich ein zu einem ersten öffentlichen Statusmeeting für alle Projektpartner und interessierte Dritte.

Das Statusmeeting findet virtuell an zwei Tagen statt:

  • Donnerstag, 4. Februar 2021 von 14:00 bis 18:00 Uhr
  • Freitag, am 5. Februar 2012 von ca. 9:00 bis 13:00 Uhr.

The series continues! We here produly announce the 4th OPEN PHOTONIK PRO Hub that will take place from the 13th to 15th of november 2020. The winter is coming and we need to find solutions for staying safe indoor and to extend our possibilities in the corona crises. The goal is to create a do-it-yourself, low-cost, reliable, net-integrated ……… CO2 monitor system.

3rd Open Online MAKE@THON

MAKERS of the WORLD, LISTEN:

After the success of the first two events we are extremely proud to announce the 3rd OPEN PHOTONIK PRO Hub that will start on the 25th of september 2020. Let’s further strengthen the connection between MAKERs and the health care community! This time, it is the goal to create a high temperature washable, interchangeable, reusable, 3D printable, … beak cup attachment.

The MAKER WORLD will change on july, 3rd, when our OPEN PHOTONIK PRO Hub comes into life. Our main intention is to close the gap between creative MAKERS and the Needs in the medical field.

This activity was triggered by the Corona-Crises in spring 2020 and gratefully supported by the BMBF within the project OPTOCUBES.
